Experience in International Health: I have no experience in International Health however, in the past I had the opportunity to work in the health setting namely, I interned at a hospital in the Emergency Room and also I worked at a nursing home. 
Major MCH Interests: I am particularly interested in chronic illnesses that plague women of color residing in inner city neighborhoods.
Future Career Plans: I hope to get into research and in a few years I hope to attend medical school.

Experience in International Health: Over the past summer, 1999, I worked in Armenia at the American University of Armenia, Department of Public Health. I worked on an Infant Mortality Review and Surveillance project. I was able to travel throughout various regions of the country and collect qualitative data on the situation of infant births and deaths.
Major MCH Interests: I am very interested in the field of development in the early years of life and how from an international perspective this is effected by issues that can be controlled for.
Future Career Plans: I plan to attend medical school and combine my MPH with my MD degree, hopefully to continue work in developing countries.
Personal Interests: I enjoy most any type of outdoor activity and I try to stay active by exercising.  I love to go to restaurants and hang out with wonderful company.

Experience in International Health: For two years, I have been an active volunteer at Clinica Tepati, a student-run, non-profit community clinic which serves the medically indigent in Sacramento's barrios. In addition to several health related internships, I worked at the Center for Health Services Research and Policy in Washington D.C.  I recently travelled to Southeast Asia and would like to return to the region after professional school.
Future Career Plans:  I am currently applying for dental schools and would like to incorporate my public health degree with my interests in dental care. More specifically, I am interested in access, quality of care, and utilization of dental services for the underserved as well as dental health policy and services research.
Personal Interests:  I'll try any sport.  I love to travel, meet new people, and eat my mom's and dad's homecooked Filipino meals.

Experience in International Health: I taught biology and chemistry as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania, East Africa for 3 years. During that time I was also involved in Peace Corps Tanzania's initial AIDS education efforts in collaboration with USAID and the Tanzania AIDS Project. I developed and I implemented a regional AIDS/STD education program for adolescents.
Major MCH Interests: I am interested in infectious diseases, diarrheal diseases, and health issues of refugees.
Future Career Plans: Upon graduation from BUSPH I hope to continue my education by pursuing a Ph.D. or Dr.P.H. in epidemiology or an international health related program. 
Personal Interests: More than anything, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Michelle. I'm always eager to share a few beers with friends.  I am a fan of most major sports and like to play football and basketball whenever the chance arises.   Lately I have taken up playing tennis. I also like to travel and read.  A more unusual interest I have is entomology.

Experience in International Health: For the last 4 years, I have been managing projects for the MA Department of Public Health at the Boston Center for Independent Living, to ensure their services are accessible to persons with disabilities. I conducted trainings on Disability Awareness, The Americans with Disabilities Act, and coordinated referrals among providers. In Argentina I set up a resource center for persons with disabilities. We worked with all disabilities in all areas of their general well being: access to education and health.
Major MCH Interests: As a women and a mother, I am interested in all aspects of maternal and child health. In International Health, I am interested in access to primary health care for women and children.
Future Career Plans: I would like to work in Central or Latin America managing projects related to women and persons with disabilities and their access to health care.

Experience in International Health: I do not have any prior experience in international health. As for the health area, I have been a volunteer at the Brigham and Women's  Hospital for the past two years, and I am also a trained labor assistant. I have volunteer once with a teen mother during the last part of her pregnancy, throughout the labor and during the post-partum period. I loved it, and hope to be doing a whole lot more than that.
Major MCH Interests: I am an MCH concentrator, and I am  also from Haiti. The combination gives my interest in MCH in developing countries.I am very interested in the public health issues around women and children. I have seen from a first hand basis the absolute need of
a developing country for a good infrastructure concerning public health, and I hope
to be of some help.
Future Career Plans: I want to get my MPH, and later on be a physician, particularly, an OB/GYN. I decided that a solid foundation in public health was the way to go about getting
into the health field specially in the dawn of the new millennium.

Personal Interests: I love to read. I also write a little bit. Not poetry, but fiction, although I also like to go to readings from time to time. I have a little bit of interest in graphic design and multimedia. I don't know a thing about it, but I like it. Aside from that, I like to walk in Boston (when  it's not too cold), music, writing letters to my friends, and baking!!

Experience in International Health: I work with the diverse inner-city population of Boston. Neonatal Intensive Care and High-risk antepartum care have been the focus of my nursing career. I am also a Navy Nurse Corps Officer and am involved in the medical rediness for mobilization of military personnel and their dependants. 
Major MCH Interests: I am concerned for the large number of teen pregnancies that often result in severe and/or chronically ill infants and the ability of these teen to parent and care for their children. This concern includes the now limited potential for personal growth and development of the parents as well as their children.
Future Career Plans: I am not sure where I am going from here. I am interested in Health Promotion and Prevention Practices.
Personal Interests: My family, which includes a husband and two daughters. I enjoy reading and quilt making. I have also recently become interested in hiking. I hope to take advantage of the beautiful autumn weather and explore some local trails.

Experience in International Health: My basic experiences in Japan; I worked in the  ER and CCU of a private hospital as a clinical nurse for 3 years, and at public health center as a public health nurse for 2 years. As experiences in International health, I participated with Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer, then worked with in  provincial health in the Solomon Islands, as a public health nurse for two years  where there was no Doctor nurse.  After that, I joined FP & MCH project between Japan International Cooperation Agency and Mexican Health services Secretary as a expert.

Experience in International Health: I have always been interested in medicine. I volunteered at Children's hospital, shadowed many doctors and did clinical research. However, recently I gained an interest in international health. This past summer I spent 5 weeks volunteering in Madagascar. I worked for a team of physicians in surgery and in public health. I am also very interested in secular and Jewish medical ethics.
Major MCH Interests: I would like a better understanding of the issues relating to MCH care in developing countries. I plan on continuing on to medical school and working in Israel.

Experience in International Health: I worked with a mobile health clinic in southern Arizona, serving communities outside of the city of Tucson. I also spent some time in Mexico working with street kids.
Major MCH Interests: I am interested in border health issues, particularly along the U.S.-Mexico border.  I am also interested in learning more about community health workers, as well as adolescent health issues in international settings, especially behaviors and health implications of urban street kids.

Experience in International Health: I am originally from Johannesburg, South Africa but have lived, studied, and worked in Boston for 16 years. I have very little experience in International Health, but I worked for several years as a medical assistant at a private practice in Waltham. I also had the opportunity to intern for a semester at the Boston University Wellness Center in the GSU. 

Major MCH Interests: My first exposure to MCH was this summer through the summer
certificate course.  I would like a more in depth over view of the current topics in MCH.

I am interested in community health, traditional medicine, and pharmaceutical companies.

Future Career Plans: I hope to gain field experience in a developing country setting.  I am

We are an international grass roots organization trying to curb and prevent antibacterial experience. I used to live in Cairo, and while I was there I really came to understand the importance of access to primary health care.
