Work experience:
Internship with PAHO in Peru (Lima) on Study of Domestic violence against women and children.
Volunteered in rural India, and counseling work in Dominica. 

Areas of interest in MCH and international health:
Reproductive Health at community level
Pre-natal nutrition of pregnant women. 

Career plans:
Working at the community level in DC or with minority populations in the US. 
MCH/Reproductive Health Policy. 

Personal interests:
Traveling. 

Carmen De Luz Allen

Work experience:
MD worked as a general practitioner in rural Mexico. 

Areas of interest in MCH and international health:
Health issues on the Mexican-American Border, especially relating to children's health. 

Career plans:
MPH this year, pursuing pediatric residency and working in pediatrics both in the US and Mexico. 

Personal interest:
Art history, horseback riding, travel. 

Nancy Birkhimer

Science/Health teacher , Papua New Guinea Peace-Corps.
Health Education in rural Alaska, volunteer at family planning clinic in Everett, WA.

Career plans:Getting a Law Degree from BU in May 1998, and wish to do business law with biotech companies.
