Human Subjects Protection Training (Formerly known as NIH Training)

You are listed  here because you have submitted to the IRB a copy of your human subjects training certificate (frequently referred to as  an  NIH certificate)   You are required to show documentation of human subjects protection training if you have contact with human subjects or their IDENTIFIABLE data  while doing research at BUMC

If you are not listed here and you have a human subjects protection training certificate from BUMC or another institution it is NOT necessary to call the office. Please just fax your certificate to 617-638-7234 (Internally, be careful to dial 8-7234 and not 4-7234).

If you do not have a human subjects training certificate you must be trained in order to conduct human subject research at BUMC.   It is NOT necessary to call the office.  Instead, please click here to find information about training options at the   Research  Certification/Recertification web site.

Information concerning recertification  requirements  can be found in recent issues of the Clinical Research Times.
